Blissful freedom, fun in the pool.....

The innocent glow radiating from her face, with the smile of happiness enjoying moments of fun in the water, I shot this little girl at a pool down south kosgoda.

It was the glow of the water, the expression, her freedom, the fun & joy which surrounded her inspired me to capture this image.

This little one had just finished taking a quick dip, which i was unfortunate to capture, but i did manage to shoot the following two images, with the background neatly out of focus on a large aperture.

The flowing water filling in the background, while matching the colors of his features made an interesting and pretty shot.

I wish i had used the proper camera settings, so this looks a bit blurred, n i blame myself for not using a calibrated monitor for more details.

Anyway, I do love closeups, especially when it comes to revealing features of a pretty young lass as in this photograph which i captured during breakfast at Kosgoda Beach Resort, down south Sri Lanka

Did a few tweaks with Photo shop, but I'm no longer sure how the actual final lighting conditions will be due to the fact my monitor been uncalibrated due to technical faults...

I hope the image isn't too dull.... maybe i need to work on this again... for now am posting this for any personal comments,.....

I took this photograph, when i was on an outing with some of my girlfriends, passing a pond they all plucked out a flower each, and we took some shots.....

I like this one, so i did a bit of enhancing in photo shop to create a black and white image with the flowers still retaining there color.

Camera used - Fuji - Fine Pix A610!!!!!!....... its really good for basic photography i guess..!

The tared pathway which led to the Kiri Vehera, Kataragama - Sri Lanka. The overhanging thick foliage of the trees lined on the sides with the early morning sun shining through them made a whole new world that.....

I regret having been there early enough to capture the mist that would be visible then.....

The old man in the center, hobbling his way towards the temple's entrance in hope to collect a few coins by begging his way for a breakfast, and the Buddhist flag banners hung from the trees also speak its own tales together........

I took this photograph of a road side seller down coast of the Sri Lanka, somewhere at Ambalangoda,...... I'm not even sure what he had for sale.... but his face simply made an incredible shot to make a good photograph.... I should crop tighter n maybe a black n white should produce good results.....

Another one of my friends, posing for a shot, which I eddited in photoshop to slightly over expose the image and create a dramatic lighting, with shadows.

I love how the colours match..... her skirt, does go with the window all blue and white........!

Brass Fittings - A knocker

I spied this brass knocker or handle, which was one of the six other which were worked around a glass casing which held an Oil Lamp. the faded, but yet the carvings and the designs along with the surrounding area surfaces still had the traditional works of the brass craftsmen of sri lanka....

I spied this little reptile, near a lake passing Hambantota....., It seemed that he'd been enjoying a good swim, before deciding it was time to find some lunch.... I did manage to get a close up of him slithering through the bank nettled in clumps of lotus flower leaves..........

Two monks in an animated conversation

The dull pale colors, while yet contrasting with the sharp orange, of the robes worn by these two small young monks who were having a animated conversation at the Warana Temple, was something that took me to photograph

I also framed this so that the aincient designs of the temple doors, while the frayed decayded wooden roof edge carvings and pillers, and also the 'sandakada pahana' was also captured thus.

I often wonder how I could have improved this photograph, but the lighting conditions does not seem to have been balanced well enough..... maybe I'l have better luck next time...

A lone flag pole with several dozen Buddhist flags, with one large main flag swaying hard against the breeze atop the Rocky mountain of the temple, the beauty of the sky was enhanced by the sinking sun, which compelled me to take a series of photos as I watched the sun vanish from view......

The Arch Entrance to the temple..... I took this photo within the last moments of the sinking sun.... the darkness and colors was nothing but breathtaking.....

Overnight Stay at the Birds Park Hotel.......

A small yet charming hotel, meant just for private boarding on pre-arranged terms......We were the only guest present in this small, calm relaxing small 2 Star hotel, with only 6 bedrooms!

Entrance to the Birds park Hotel, dominated by two armchairs on both sides of the main entrance.....

The view of the small naturally built swimming pool from the sliding door's of the room balcony, the bottom of the pool is actually a varying slope of natural rocks..... the end of the pool is nothing but a sheer drop of the mountain cliff.

The dining area, where we had our meals which was cooked buy a resident cook, and that was extremly delicious cooking in my view!

Oil lamps hang around the dining area, when lit at night it would make a simply lovly, sensual and romantic lamplight dinner, if anyone just wanted it that way! i took several shots in different angles....

A small area bit off from the pool, where one can relax watching the activities happening while maybe treating themselves to some drinks and snacks and playing card games, swapping stories late into the night

The comfortable rooms, and I just loved the bedding.... sooo smooth and soft... No one would want to wake up in the morning! The bathrooms and toilets, were made of rocky tiles and open glass doors to the garden only shilded with a bamboo curtains "Batapanalle" as called locally...
